1 am directed by Lord Passfield to acknow-
ledre the receipt of your letter of the 5th April
(F 1754/37/10) regarding the proposed Hong Kong
Customs Agreement and to request you to inform
Mr Secretary Henderson that the Officer Administering
the Government of Hong Kong has been requested, in a
telegram of which a copy is enclosed, to furnish his
observations on Sir . Lampson's telegram of the 27th
March, and on the proposal contained in the draft
telegram to Peking which was enclosed in your letter
under acknowledgment.
